The Global Case Overview
SBE Goal

Our goal is to develop offshore wind projects that will make a valuable contribution towards decarbonisation goals We work with the ocean to deliver offshore wind projects at scale, where stronger and more consistent wind speeds enable the generation of clean, reliable power.

This results in higher capacity factors than many other renewable technologies and supports long-term energy supply.

The Global Case Overview - Two

The offshore environment also allows for the installation of larger turbines, transported and assembled by vessel, increasing the energy generated per turbine and improving overall efficiency. As technology continues to evolve – particularly in floating offshore wind – deeper waters are becoming accessible, significantly expanding global potential.

Offshore wind is now one of the fastest-growing sources of renewable energy worldwide. In Europe, it is expected to play a central role in the future energy system, with the EU targeting at least 300 GW of offshore wind capacity by 2050 – highlighting its importance in delivering secure, sustainable energy.

Community

We engage directly with local communities and share our work globally, demonstrating how we can ‘Work with the Oceans’ responsibly. Our large-scale projects will create jobs and deliver economic benefits whilst focusing on sustainable solutions to combat climate change.

We harness the ocean resources, promoting our shared values of sustainability and a global perspective in our actions and methods.
