Simply Blue Group and EDF power solutions Ireland are developing the Western Star project off the west coast of Clare. The Western Star partners envision the transformation of the maritime landscape from fossil fuel production to a clean renewable energy source.

Together, EDF and Simply Blue seek to deliver a scalable floating demonstration project, as a stepping-stone to unlocking Ireland’s floating wind potential. The team are engaged with Government to promote the concept as part of the national marine spatial planning process.
